Personalised Gifts - Label Wizard Help
Against any product selection that you have put into your shopping cart you can choose customize.
Once you click on your template menu you will be presented with a collection of labels to cover a variety of special occasions. (If you didn’t find what you are looking for let us know – we may add it to our library!)
Select the label you would like to personalize by placing your cursor over the image and clicking once.
Your new screen will show the Label Editor on the left and your label on the right. You will be able to see what you have done as you proceed through the label editor. The number of text areas that are customizable for the label you have chosen is shown by the number of text boxes you see on the left. Each line of text can have its own attributes, for example text colour, font, font size, or alignment.
Place your cursor anywhere in the box that says ‘Your Text Here’. Type what you would like to have on the label, for example ‘Happy Birthday Dad’. You will see that the label is automatically updated while you type.
Next you can change the font style of your label. You will see that the label editor automatically defaults to Arial.
To select a different font place your cursor on the down arrow and click , a dropdown menu will appear. Move your cursor down the menu until you find the font you would like and simply click your mouse.
You also have the option to change the size of your text.
As you did with the font, click on the arrow on the right and select a font size or type the size you want directly in the box. If your preview label shows ‘…’ at the end of your message this indicates that not all of your text is visible. You will either need to reduce the font size or shorten your text message.
Now you are ready to customize the colour. The colours in your palette will reflect the colours in the label you have chosen – ensuring your text will complement your label.
Move your cursor over the standard colour palette and click your mouse on the colour you would like for your text. If you don’t see a colour that tickles your fancy, move your cursor to the ‘colour picker’ tool to the right of the standard colours. A new window will appear with a full spectrum of colours – simply move your cursor to the one you like and click your mouse - your text will reflect your new selection.
Depending on the label that you have chosen you may find your text would look better aligned a different way. Go to the tools associated with the line of text that you would like to change.
Use the Style Buttons to align your text to the left, centre or right on the label. You can also add some emphasis to your text by using the ‘B’ button to bold your text or ‘I’ to change your text to italics. The rubber icon is like an ‘undo’ button and will remove the last changes you made.
Some of the label designs offer you the option to add your own photos.
They allow you to choose a picture on your computer, crop it to the right size for the particular label design and then insert the picture on to the label.
To add an image simply click on the Browse button and find the file to upload on your computer – click on the file. Then click on Upload Image this will upload your photo and give you a pre-sized crop box which you can drag around the photo to define the part of the photo you wish to have appear on the label. Then click on the Crop Image button and the selected part of the photo will be put onto the label in the allocated place.
Click Save Label
That’s it you’re done! The label is now saved and linked to your purchase.
